Just wanted to let you know we had some issues today with the water in the toilets. We contacted the person we work with for such issues. He took some samples to be tested so more information to come once those tests are completed.
As for drinking water the students still had and will continue to have access to the water from the bubblers.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Hartford-Sumner Elementary School! We are thrilled to invite your family to join our Pre-Kindergarten community for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. Pre-K is a foundational year filled with discovery, and we are eager to partner with you in your child’s educational journey.
Registration will officially open on Monday, January 5, 2026 and close on Friday, January 23, 2026. Although we encourage early registration to ensure your child’s seat, this year’s registration is even more important because our goal is to offer full-day pre-K. Your willingness to register early will help us determine whether we have enough students to warrant a second pre-K classroom.
You may complete the registration process by:
In-Person: Drop off completed forms at the main office between 8AM-2PM.
To process your child’s application, please provide the following documents:
Proof of Age: Certified birth certificate.
Proof of Residency: Must show both the mailing and physical address on the same document. (Recommended: recent rental agreement, electric bill (front page), cable bill (front page), property tax or water bill)
Immunization Records: Updated records showing required vaccinations. May be faxed to 207-388-2882.
A copy of any court order appointing a guardian if the student lives in the Nezinscot region of RSU 10 if the child lives with a legal guardian who is not a parent.
A copy of any court order if the custodial parent/guardian wishes Hartford-Sumner Elementary school to comply with the provisions of a court order that restricts access to a child.
Kindergarten and Pre-K screening will take place on Friday, May 1st. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten staff will reach out to you regarding the times of those screenings.

HSES Modern Pest Update
Devin Roberts, our Building, Grounds, and Transportation Director, has informed me that Modern Pest is going to move forward with a liquid application on Saturday, December 20th. Modern Pest shared this application will stop the reproductive cycle of the cockroaches and should eliminate them.
Devin will be posting signs soon at HSES as a warning for the liquid application. If any more information becomes available in regard to this next step I will update you all.
