The RES walking school bus will still be happening this morning for any students walking from the Brick Park. Anyone in affected nearby streets is welcome to walk through the park and join! Staff will walk the route starting at around 9:10.

RES 4th graders are beginning their Immigration unit! They will learn many of the reasons people came to the US in the 1800-1900s, as well as what life in America was like when they arrived. This unit combines reading, writing, viewing, listening, and note-taking skills!


RES Staff Spotlight on: Mrs. Mazza and Mrs. Brennick!



RES staff work to put students in charge of their learning! Students know their learning goals, know how to show their understanding, and even reflect on their learning and next steps!


RES: Good evening RES families and staff. At the end of the school day, a student left a non-credible bomb threat in a bathroom. RES staff and the Rumford Police worked together to be certain that all students will be safe at RES tomorrow and in the future.

RES artists at work! Mrs. Logan invited Mrs. Coulombe’s third graders to continue working with clay during lunch and recess! Lunch and art! Does it get any better?





RES kindergarten writers are working to write all the sounds they hear in words! Chase wants to tell his audience, “We went to the vet. Remmy got stitches.


Many RES teachers have found community members who sponsor monthly books for all students in their classes! Thank you to our teachers and community for helping students get new books! Reading opens doors! (Here is Ms Marshall’s class with their latest read!)

RES teachers are learners, too! They work hard on Wednesday mornings before students come to school! We ALL seek to improve every day.




RES, WFKA, and Black Mountain are excited to offer a Ski/Snowboard Club for students in 3rd and 4th grade! There is room for about 5 students and they will be selected on a first come, first served basis. Please contact the school for more information and registration materials!
