MVHS: Falcon Families, over the next two days our 9-11 graders will take the NWEA. Our 9th and 11th graders will take the NWEA that we will use as a school to show student growth over their time at MVHS. Our 10th graders will take the Maine Through Year Assessment which is mandated by the State of Maine and those scores are reported to the DOE and are included in how our school is evaluated by the DOE. Needless to say, these exams are incredibly important for all grade levels and we want students to give their best efforts over the next couple of days. Students will take these exams in their regular English and math classes so there will be no interruptions to our schedule. Please encourage your student(s) to get to bed early and take advantage of our breakfast at school so they can do their best on the exams. Thank you for your help! #falconsfly

MVHS: Good morning! As we reach the last week in September we just wanted to encourage everyone to use Powerschool to check on your student's grades. Many teachers have started to enter grades and Powerschool is a great way to see your student's academic progress in real time rather than waiting for Progress Reports. Powerschool is available at rsu10.powerschool.com/public/home.html OR they have an App that is available on most smartphones. If you need any support with Powerschool, please call school at 364-4547.

Dear Families,
We are pleased to inform you that through a partnership with Mainely Teeth, we are now able to offer dental services to your child. On several days throughout the school year beginning at the end of November, a Mainely Teeth hygienist will set up inside your child’s school(s) with portable dental equipment where they will provide routine dental screenings, preventive services and simple dental treatments to students who are eligible and have been signed up ahead of time.
If your child has not received routine dental care in over 6 months or your child is in need of dental care due to the lack of local access, this service is for you!
If you are interested in having your child receive care while at school, please contact your school nurse for the full permission packet.
If you have any questions regarding upcoming dental clinics at your child’s school, please email Ayla Burke at ayla@mainelyteeth.com

MVHS: Next Thursday (9/21) our entire Junior class will be headed to Sunday River for a career day! Students will spend time in multiple departments at Sunday River to learn about career opportunities that are available to them now as high school students and potentially as adults. All Juniors are expected to attend, even students scheduled to be at Region 9. We are really excited about the opportunity for our students. Please call school if you have any questions!
