Important School Nutrition Message for the Nezinscot Region:
Meal deliveries for our remote learners in the Nezinscot region will start on Monday, October 5th. This includes both fully-remote & hybrid students.
These deliveries will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for those who have requested delivery. Weekly meals are free of charge.
We ask that you place a box, tote, or laundry basket near the end of your driveway in a visible spot. These are considered no contact deliveries and we will place your meals in the container you provide for us. If there is nothing to place meals in, they will not be left
The bus will be leaving BJSHS at approximately 9 am.
A 2-pack meal (2 breakfasts and 2 lunches) for each student will be given on each of those days.
If you would like to know more about being added to the meal delivery route, please contact:
Rossie Kyllonen at 336-2151 ext. 308

Please see the Updated Return to School Handbook at this link and note the Yellow highlighted changes:

Region 11 is not having students attend in person today or tomorrow (Sept 29 & 30), and both of these days are remote learning days for students who would be attending Region 11. Additionally, on Thursday & Friday (October 1 & 2) Region 11 is not having students attend either in person or remote. We appreciate your understanding, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Important Notice: In keeping with the Maine DOE Framework for Reopening Schools, Oxford County has been designated "Yellow". This designation does allow BJSHS to continue with our Hybrid model for student learning, and will not change our current school day programming. Unfortunately, this designation does cause the cancelation of all in-person extra-curricular activities at our school for at least one week, starting today. We continue to be impressed by the hard work of students and families, and ask you all to be safe during this time. Please reach out to the school with any questions.

Picture Days are coming. Picture Day this fall at BJSHS will actually take place over two separate days this year. Lifetouch will be here to take pictures for Cohort B & D students on Thursday, October 1, and then return on Monday, October 5 for Cohort A & C students. Cohorts C & D are remote cohorts, and should plan to arrive between 8:30 - 9:30, and check in at the main office. For information about ordering pictures online, visit mylifetouch.com, and use code EVTGDFZB6.

Below are resources to help parents and students with technology. We will offer a virtual parent training on technology for elementary schools this Friday, 9/25 at noon. A Zoom link will be sent out.
