Dear R.E.S. Families,
It was great to be back in the swing of things with our students today! I wanted to update you on the status of the clean up and restoration of our building. The monitoring of the air quality is on-going, and the custodial crew, at the direction of Building and Grounds leadership, continues to work diligently cleaning classrooms and repairing the damage.

Thank you for patiently awaiting the results of the air quality study. We have great news to share! Based on the findings of the study, R.E.S. can safely reopen on Friday January 6th; busing will resume its normal schedule. We look forward to seeing your children, and again apologize for the stress and inconvenience this situation may have caused.

We are still awaiting the results of the air quality test and will make a decision about returning to school by six o'clock this evening. At that time, we will send out another message to you. We are so sorry for the stress this event has undoubtedly caused and will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

As a reminder, due to R.E.S. being closed, the After School Program at Rumford Elementary School will not be in session the remainder of the week. Thank you.
Dear RES Families,
Due to significant roof leaks and widespread water damage in the building, we are concerned about the air quality in the school. As a precaution for staff and students' safety, air quality tests are being conducted and the roof is being repaired. Therefore, RES will be closed on Wednesday January 4th and Thursday January 5th so that we can reopen safely. We hope to reopen on Friday January 6th. We will keep you updated.

Due to the incoming storm, R.S.U. 10 will have a half day of school today, Friday, December 16th. Dismissal will be at 12pm. There will be no out of district transportation.
Reminder that the R.E.S. Winter Concert is tonight at 6pm at Mountain Valley High School in the Muskie Auditorium. Students need to be seated by 5:45pm with their class. Please use the second entrance at the High School. We look forward to seeing you there!
