5th Grade News

January 29, 2021

Dear 5th Grade Parents and Guardians,

This letter is to confirm all 5th grade students who are on the hybrid in person model will be expected to be at school four days per week starting Monday, February 1, 2021.

During this first week, there are sure to be some challenges as we adjust to having more students in the school, but rest assure we will take all care to follow Maine CDC safety guidelines and RSU 10 policies to make sure that your child is safe while attending our school.

That being said, we have to be aware that if we are not successful in keeping our students safe and following the required guidelines, or if the guidelines change at the state level, we must be prepared to revert back to the hybrid model, if need be.

You can do your part to keep our school community safe by doing the following:
Use the pre-screening tool to screen your child prior to coming to school.
Do not send your child to school when they are sick.
If your child is waiting to be tested ; has pending results, or has been identified as being in close contact to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, stay home and contact the school nurse.
Follow recommended Maine CDC safety measures.

We are looking forward to this first step in bringing more students back to school and providing the critical in person learning that we know all students need.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding this increase in in person learning time, please feel free to contact the school at (207)364-7926.

Sincerely,

Ryan Casey

Principal
