April 30th, 2021

Eighth Grade Parents/Guardians,

  • We are reaching out to update all of you in regards to transportation to and from the Mountain Valley Middle School annex (Mexico Rec Center) for the remainder of the school year.

  • All parent drop off and pick up will be done directly at the MVMS Annex. Arrival and departure times have not changed. Students can be dropped off at 7:45 AM and picked up at 1:00 PM. Walkers will also go directly to the Rec Center in the morning.

  • Students taking the bus to and from the MVMV Annex will follow a slightly different procedure. Students will be taking their normal bus routes to and from Mountain Valley Middle School even on the days they are attending school at the Annex.

  • Upon arriving at the Middle School, students attending school at the Annex for that day will wait in the MVMS auditorium and load a different bus to the Annex. This will be done in an effort to reduce traffic congestion at the Annex. In the afternoon MVMS Annex students will be brought by bus back to MVMS and then load their scheduled bus to return home.

  • Those students who are participating in sports and other extracurricular activities can continue to wait at the Middle School until their team is released for practices and games.

  • (**Remote students, Mr. LaPointe and Mrs. Ladd’s students will continue with their current program and will not be affected by this change).

We believe this plan will not only allow for more efficient transportation to and from school, but will also create a safer environment for families and students.

We appreciate all of you for your flexibility during this time.

Sincerely,

Ryan Casey

Principal
