Later this week teachers will be meeting determining student placements for the 2020-21 school year. Each year, teachers are asked to create balanced groups of students to achieve a diverse mix of students for each classroom. All input is considered, including that from parents, specialist teachers, guidance, and the principal.
If you feel you would like to share information about your child that will help us in the grouping process, you should contact your child's teacher to bring that information forward at our meetings. The kind of input we are looking might include preferred learning style, personal interests or needs, past history of an older sibling with a teacher, or children your child should not be placed with. PLEASE understand that although you may have a request for a particular teacher the priority is on forming a diverse mix of students for each classroom.
