Good afternoon RES families,

You know the world is a little topsy turvy when you wake up grateful for cold rain instead of 6 inches of snow during the last week in April! So many things feel unsure and unpredictable right now. But as we are beginning our fifth week of learning from home, we hope that your child’s remote learning experience feels like a guarantee.

We guarantee that your child will receive both practice and new learning in reading, writing, and math each week. We also guarantee that we understand how important these things are as you and your child navigate the entire last trimester of the year through remote learning. There is still so much to get done.

We also guarantee that we understand that this is not easy, and we have to be flexible in continuing this journey. We expect that every family and every child will do their best to engage with us and complete work. This is an expectation for passing the final trimester of the year. At the same time, it likely will look at least slightly different for each family and child.

Finally, we guarantee that we will do our best to remove any barriers for your child to access their learning. From internet and devices, to food and other needs, we hope you feel comfortable asking us when there’s a way we can support you. Please connect with us and let us know how we can help.

We miss our kiddos tremendously and can’t wait until we can be back together! In the meantime, get back to work, RES Raccoons and show your parents how you can be responsible in your work!

We all know this isn’t easy, but I guarantee we’re in it together!
