Good morning RES families! It had crossed my mind to use this call for an April Fools joke of epic proportions, but I’ve decided against that! You can be assured that this message contains only legitimate information!

We are preparing for another round of materials to be distributed this Friday. It is likely that this will be our last distribution due to more restrictive social distancing rules. Materials will be available for pick up on Friday at the York Street entrance from 9:00- 2:00, and will also be delivered by normal bus routes during an afternoon delivery, like the first round. We also would like you to return any books that your child has finished. Please put these in a bag and return them to the bin in front of the school or pass them in during the bus run.

Thank you to everyone who completed our survey. You helped us know that we need to continue to provide paper/pencil work and also explore digital learning options. In this next phase of remote learning, you will see a focus on reading, writing, and math. We are aiming to keep the work focused and engaging. We also will be continuing to work on the ways we can easily connect with students through digital platforms. More to come soon! If you do not have a device at home that your child can use, please contact your child’s teacher. We have a limited amount that we can loan if necessary.

The current guidance from Governor Mills means we will continue remote learning at least until after May 1st. We sincerely hope to be able to finish the year at school some time after that. In the meantime, keep connecting with us and keep doing a fantastic job working with your children. We know none of this is easy and we appreciate you tremendously! Stay well!
