Nordic walking is a sport that combines simple walking with a set of specially designed poles which increase calorie expenditure up to 50%, as well as transforms walking into a total body workout, Targeting the core and upper body in addition to the lower body.
Wellness students in Grades 6 through 8 will be participating in a Nordic walking unit for the next couple of weeks. We will be leaving the MVMS grounds to walk in the adjacent neighborhoods. Students will be bringing home an information note about this activity.
