Meet the Superintendent
I grew up in Hebron, Maine on a four-generation dairy farm and graduated from Oxford Hills High School. I received my BS degree from the University of Maine at Orono in Business & Accounting. While I was deciding on continuing my education, I began my career as a teacher assistant and then a special education teacher in Merrimack, NH. After obtaining my Master’s degree from Keene State College in Special Education and Educational Administration, I became the Special Education Coordinator at Merrimack High School. In 1997 I was fortunate to be able to move back home to Maine. Since then I have spent 20 years in district leadership as a Director of Special Education and an Assistant Superintendent, previous to beginning my current position as Superintendent of Schools for RSU #10 in November of 2016.
I currently live in Leeds with my husband, Kevin and two dogs, Copper and Jack. My son, Craig, and his wife Christa, live in Braintree, MA; son Kevin lives in Harrison, ME, and my step daughter Ashley and two grandsons, Mason and Wyatt live in Leeds. Aside from my career, our family, special projects and trips keep us busy.
